Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 July 2026

The short version: not happy? Email us within 14 days of buying and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. You can also try the software free for 7 days before you buy, so you know exactly what you are getting. None of this affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Our 14-day guarantee

We want you to be happy with what you paid for. If you change your mind, or the software simply is not for you, email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason. We are always glad to hear what did not work for you so we can improve, but that is entirely optional.

Try before you buy

Every product page includes a live, interactive demo so you can see exactly how the software behaves before you spend anything. Clip also comes with a free 7-day trial: every feature, on your own machine, no card and no payment details. We would always rather you try it first than buy on a hunch.

The free trial

The trial is genuinely free. We take no payment details, so there is nothing that can renew and nothing to cancel. If you reach the end of the 7 days and do not want to keep the software, just switch it off or uninstall it, or simply do nothing: the trial ends on its own and you will never be charged. Your files stay exactly where they are on your machine either way.

How to request a refund

Email support@bit-soft.co.uk from the address you bought with, or include your order number. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, so your refund is issued through them, back to your original payment method. Refunds usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Faulty or not as described

Separately from the 14-day guarantee, if the software is faulty, not as described, or does not do what we said it would, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will put it right or refund you, and this applies even outside the 14-day window. Just get in touch.

Your statutory cancellation right

As a consumer buying digital content, you also have a statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Because our software is delivered as an immediate download, that specific statutory right can end once the download begins with your consent. Our own 14-day guarantee above is more generous and covers you regardless, so in practice you are protected either way.

After a refund

Once a refund is issued, your licence key is deactivated. Please stop using the software and remove it from your devices. See our Software Licence Agreement for the full licence terms.

A note on chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, please email us first. We are a small team and we will almost always sort it out quickly. Raising a chargeback with your bank before contacting us can take weeks to resolve and is rarely necessary.
